Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Shopify Developer located in Mumbai, India. The Senior Shopify Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Shopify store functionality, implementing custom features and integrations, and optimizing store performance. The developer will also collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure seamless user experiences. This role requires working both from our office in Bengaluru and remotely as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and maintain Shopify store functionality and custom features.
• Customize and build Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement third-party services and APIs into Shopify stores.
• Optimize performance for speed, scalability, and mobile responsiveness.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure smooth, high-quality deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure best practices in SEO, code quality, and version control.
• Manage multiple development projects and priorities in an Agile environment.
Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify development, including Liquid templating.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Proven experience in building and customizing Shopify themes and apps.
• Solid understanding of Shopify APIs and integrating third-party tools and services.
• Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
