Cognizant needs a seasoned Java Fullstack Developer – someone who can actually build things, not just talk about them. Five to ten years’ experience is the baseline here; we’re not training juniors. You’ll be diving straight into designing and developing web applications, working across the entire stack from back-end Java and Spring Boot to front-end ReactJS.
Expect collaboration. A lot of it. You’ll translate business needs into technical specs alongside other engineers, and contribute to code reviews – rigorous ones, frankly – to maintain quality. Experience with databases like MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL is non-negotiable, as is familiarity with the usual Agile tools: Git, JIRA, Jenkins.
This isn’t a solo gig. The team is around 15 developers, mostly mid-level, and they’re currently scaling up a key product line – meaning opportunity for visibility and impact. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is expected, and a solid grasp of J2EE and Hibernate is essential. Strong analytical skills are vital, as is the ability to debug complex issues – and explain solutions clearly.
Still, be prepared for a fast pace; this is Cognizant, after all – things move quickly. We need someone who can stay current with emerging technologies, and ideally, mentor those with less experience. Think you can deliver? Send across your profile.
