Senior Data Engineer – Pharma R&D — Senior Data Engineer – Pharma R&D – Pune | Full‑time Design and run robust data pipelines that power Roche’s R&D analytics. You’ll turn complex biomedical data into reliable, regulator‑ready insights, working side‑by‑side with scientists and clinicians. This role lets you shape cutting‑edge infrastructure in a highly regulated pharma environment. What You’ll Do Lead end‑to‑end design, build and maintenance of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. Optimize data ingestion and processing to improve performance and reliability. Collaborate with data scientists and business units to translate requirements into technical solutions. Implement data‑quality checks, cleansing rules and reconciliation frameworks. Build monitoring, alerting and logging for continuous pipeline availability. Integrate diverse source systems into secure, cross‑platform data flows. Drive strategic improvements to the organization’s data‑storage architecture. What You Need 4–8 years experience in large‑scale data engineering, preferably pharma/biotech. Advanced SQL, Python and Scala programming skills. Hands‑on expertise with Talend, Snowflake, Tableau, Spark and Hadoop. Proven ability to design and optimise data warehouses and data lakes. Experience delivering pipelines in GxP‑regulated (GCP/GMP/GVP) environments. Strong background in regulatory, clinical‑operations or pharmacovigilance data workflows. Demonstrated ownership of full‑cycle data‑pipeline projects. Good to Have AI/ML modeling experience. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
