Software Engineer-Cassandra-and-Oracle — Software Engineer – Cassandra & Oracle – India Drive the design, deployment, and operation of high‑performance Cassandra and Oracle data platforms that power critical enterprise applications. You’ll work across infrastructure and development teams to ensure data reliability, scalability, and security—making an impact on large‑scale, real‑time workloads. What You’ll Do Plan Cassandra clusters (size estimation, hardware sizing) and install/configure the environment. Monitor cluster health with Opscenter, DevCenter and custom tools; respond to alerts and incidents. Design NoSQL data models, create keyspaces, tables, indexes, and write optimized CQL queries. Perform JVM, cache, and compaction tuning; manage backups, restores, and disaster‑recovery procedures. Administer Oracle databases: install, patch, configure standby, and tune performance. Implement and maintain Oracle GoldenGate (uni‑ and bi‑directional) and RAC with Data Guard. Manage AWS RDS instances (engine upgrades, certificate renewal, rehydration) and document all procedures. What You Need 3+ years experience with Apache Cassandra cluster setup, Opscenter, DevCenter, and Linux. Strong command‑line skills; ability to write and optimise CQL queries. Expertise in Oracle 12c/19c: installation, patch management, standby, RAC, Data Guard. Hands‑on experience with Oracle GoldenGate configuration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in JVM performance tuning, cache management, and data‑model design. Experience administering AWS RDS (upgrades, certificate renewal, rehydration). Solid documentation practices and incident‑response handling. Good to Have Knowledge of Apache Spark integration with Cassandra. Familiarity with storage capacity planning for ASM and tablespaces.
