Archiving Squad Data Engineer – Chennai | Contract Join a fast‑growing team that modernises EY’s data‑archival landscape. You’ll build migration pipelines that retire legacy applications and move critical data to secure, cloud‑native platforms—key work that safeguards the firm’s long‑term information assets. What You’ll Do Extract structured and unstructured data from retiring applications. Build ETL pipelines that load datasets into the Solix Common Data Platform. Migrate historical archives from legacy systems to Cohesity or AWS‑based storage. Write and optimise SQL scripts for data transformation and validation. Reconcile source and target data to guarantee integrity and compliance. Document archival workflows and migration procedures. Collaborate with architects, QA, and reporting teams to ensure smooth roll‑outs. What You Need 3–5 years experience in data engineering or database administration. Strong SQL skills and hands‑on work with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL. Proven expertise with Solix CDP for application retirement. Experience designing large‑scale data migration/ETL pipelines. Familiarity with archival platforms such as Cohesity, Solix, or IBM Optim. Knowledge of AWS storage services (e.g., S3). B.Tech/BS in Computer Science (M.Tech/MS a plus) and relevant certifications. Good to Have Azure Data Engineer or AWS Data Engineer certifications. Cohesity DataProtect certification. Experience integrating workflow tools like Appian.
