Staff Data Engineer – India A senior data engineer will own a critical sub‑section of IndiHire’s data platform, driving accelerated innovation, cost optimisation, risk mitigation and business enablement. You’ll work on cutting‑edge lakehouse architecture, mentor a diverse engineering team and influence enterprise‑wide data strategy. What You’ll Do Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and lakehouse architectures. Own end‑to‑end delivery of data solutions, ensuring quality and timelines. Lead and mentor a mixed team of senior and junior developers. Partner with architects, analysts and business stakeholders to refine data requirements. Introduce modern engineering practices to boost code reuse and developer productivity. Implement CI/CD, testing and infrastructure as code for reliable deployments. Ensure data security and regulatory compliance through access controls. What You Need 8–15 years data engineering experience. Deep exposure to Snowflake and lakehouse design on AWS. Advanced use of AWS Lambda, EMR, MSK, Glue, S3. Building event‑driven/streaming pipelines with Kafka. Expert‑level Python and SQL; Java/Scala a plus. CI/CD automation with Terraform, plus test automation. Working with RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Redis). Good to Have API development using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks. Familiarity with asset‑management data domains (security reference, trades, holdings, funds, accounting).
