The client, a 40‑year leader in in‑flight entertainment and connectivity, needs an experienced Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance C++ systems. This role offers the chance to lead a technical team while shaping core architecture for global airline solutions.
What You’ll Do
Design and build scalable C++ software for in‑flight entertainment platforms.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and conduct unit testing.
Review code and mentor junior developers (SDE 1 & 2).
Lead a team of 4–8 engineers through sprint planning and delivery.
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise performance on Linux.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines and manage code deployments.
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements.
What You Need
4–10 years of C++ development with strong OOP design.
Expert knowledge of Linux and networking protocols.
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and SQL.
Experience with shell scripting and embedded software ownership.
Proficiency with GitLab, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Jira, and Confluence.
Hands‑on experience configuring CI/CD tools such as Jenkins; Kubernetes a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good to Have
Working knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration.
Prior involvement with embedded IFEC platforms.
