What You’ll Do
Design and maintain batch and real‑time data pipelines.
Migrate existing Spark workloads to Java‑based solutions.
Integrate databases, APIs and third‑party feeds into Snowflake.
Collaborate with analysts to guarantee data quality and performance.
Troubleshoot pipeline bottlenecks and scalability issues.
Optimize processes for speed, cost efficiency and reliability.
Enforce data‑governance and security standards throughout the workflow.
What You Need
5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
Proficiency in Python or Java, SQL and Pig scripts.
6+ years with Spark, Hadoop or Kafka ecosystems.
Strong command of Apache Spark / PySpark fundamentals.
Hands‑on experience with stream and batch processing frameworks.
Ability to work with Snowflake and data‑visualisation tools.
Familiarity with AI assistance tools such as Cursor, Copilot or Claude.
