Sr.Software Engineer (Java, Kafka) — Sr. Software Engineer – India Join a high‑impact Java team that powers global e‑commerce brands and pioneer AI‑driven microservices. You’ll work from the India Technology Center, collaborating with on‑site peers to deliver scalable, cloud‑native solutions that directly shape customer experiences. What You’ll Do Develop Java 8/Spring microservices using WebFlux, Kafka, PCF, Azure, and NoSQL stores. Write unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) and enforce code quality via GIT pull‑requests and Crucible. Propose, evaluate, and document multiple design alternatives for complex problems. Build AI‑enabled features (semantic search, recommendations, RAG pipelines) within Spring services. Create and version prompt‑engineering assets, applying safety controls like PII redaction and audit logging. Design monitoring, A/B testing, and drift detection for AI models to ensure reliability. Partner with product, data‑science, and security teams to move AI POCs to production with clear SLOs. What You Need 6+ years Java/J2EE development, strong command of Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA. Hands‑on experience with Kafka, PCF or Azure, Spring Cloud Config, and a NoSQL database (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.). Proven ability to build RESTful and reactive (WebFlux) microservices at scale. Solid unit‑testing skills (JUnit, Mockito) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Agile/Scrum participation and GIT‑based code‑review workflow. Direct experience integrating LLM/GenAI concepts (RAG, embeddings, prompt design) into Java services. Knowledge of vector search solutions (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, OpenSearch) and responsible AI practices. Good to Have Performance tuning, Hibernate/iBatis, and build tools (Maven/Gradle). Experience with Cucumber/Selenium, Mule or Apache Camel, and static‑analysis
