Jet2 Travel Technologies – Senior Data Engineer – Python/SQL — Senior Data Engineer – Pune Join a fast‑growing Data Engineering practice at Jet2’s Pune Innovation Centre, building a high‑quality data platform to drive revenue and operational efficiency. What You’ll Do Design and build scalable cloud data pipelines in Snowflake. Optimize SQL queries and warehouse performance for large datasets. Develop and maintain curated data models, metrics, and business logic. Migrate on‑premise SQL Server warehouses to Snowflake or a data lake. Deliver end‑to‑end data products using AI tools like Snowflake Cortex and GitHub Copilot. Mentor junior engineers and enforce best‑practice coding standards. Collaborate with business, data‑science, and BI teams across Pune and Leeds. What You Need 5+ years of SQL development, including advanced query tuning and window functions. Strong experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse) and data modelling. Hands‑on work with pipelines from databases, flat files, APIs, or event streams. Expertise in data‑warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling. Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (storage, containers, orchestration). Knowledge of Python for data transformation (beneficial). Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps; Terraform a plus. Good to Have DBT experience for ELT transformations. Certifications: Snowflake, AWS/GCP/Azure, Data Engineering. Exposure to Tableau or Power BI for reporting.
