As a Principal Software Engineer on the DX SDK team, you’ll set the technical direction for the SDK that unifies connectors like Revit and Inventor. What You'll Do Own SDK architecture, design trade‑offs, and performance characteristics. Define and enforce quality standards through code reviews and design docs. Prioritize and remediate critical technical debt and non‑functional requirements. Lead business‑critical initiatives aligned with team and division OKRs. Mentor engineers, run design reviews, and delegate high‑visibility work. Drive adoption of Spec‑Driven Development and AI‑assisted tooling. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align SDK strategy with platform roadmap. What You Need 8–12 years of software development experience, mainly in C#. Deep expertise in concurrency, multithreading, and large‑dataset processing. Proven track record designing, versioning, and maintaining public APIs/SDKs. Experience with build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes. Strong technical leadership and ability to mentor junior engineers. Hands‑on proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools. Ability to communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers early. Good to Have Experience with CAD, 3D/2D geometry and AEC or manufacturing domains.
