What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and build high-scale distributed systems across inventory, pricing, and booking domains.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery and evolution of critical platforms, ensuring zero‑downtime.
- Define API standards, software architecture, and best practices for cross‑team consistency.
- Lead complex multi‑service initiatives, coordinating stakeholders and technical teams.
- Code, review, and troubleshoot production systems, balancing hands‑on work with leadership.
- Mentor engineers, raise code quality, and elevate engineering standards.
What You Need
- 11+ years building large‑scale backend systems in production.
- Proficient in Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Go.
- Strong architectural design and decision‑making experience.
- Hands‑on production coding, code review, and debugging skills.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing system reliability, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
Good to Have
- Kafka or event‑driven architecture experience.
- Cloud‑native AWS or GCP platform knowledge.
- Spark/Hadoop or other big‑data platform exposure.
- Global product organization experience with distributed teams.
