Staff Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Join a fast‑moving, fully remote engineering team building a clinical‑stage oncology platform. You’ll have direct impact in a small group where learning, bold creation, and deep care drive every decision. What You’ll Do Assess and evolve the platform’s architecture across data, API, UI, and infrastructure. Write production code daily in React, Node/NestJS, PostgreSQL on AWS. Design multi‑tenant isolation, data partitioning, and role‑based access at scale. Embed security best practices—auth, encryption, OWASP compliance—into every component. Profile, benchmark, and optimise performance across backend queries and frontend rendering. Define engineering standards, mentor peers, and champion modern tooling like AI‑assisted code generators. What You Need 8+ years full‑stack engineering experience building web applications at scale. Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Proven record of owning system architecture and making foundational decisions. Security‑first mindset with OWASP Top 10 knowledge and auth/authorization design. Strong performance‑engineering instincts for profiling, caching, and query optimisation. Demonstrated bias for ownership, shipping quality code, and handling ambiguity. Experience using AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) in production. Good to Have Background in healthcare, biotech, or life‑science data platforms. Experience with event‑driven, CQRS, or domain‑driven design architectures. Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi) and CI/CD pipeline construction.
