We are seeking a senior software engineer with deep expertise in L3 networking protocols and system‑level programming. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing routing and Segment Routing solutions on Linux.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement IS‑IS, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols.
- Develop Segment Routing features: SR‑MPLS, OSPF‑SR, IS‑IS SR, TI‑LFA, BFD, QoS.
- Build and optimize MPLS solutions (LDP, RSVP, BGP‑LU).
- Create L2VPN, L3VPN, and EVPN services over Segment Routing/MPLS.
- Write IPv4/IPv6 routing policies, ACLs, and route‑map functionality.
- Debug and tune multi‑threaded Linux forwarding plane using GDB, Valgrind, GCov.
What You Need
- 7+ years developing Layer‑3 networking protocols (IS‑IS, OSPF, BGP).
- Strong C/C++ coding and debugging experience on Linux.
- Proven multi‑threaded programming skills in a Linux environment.
- Deep knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, routing policies, ACLs, and route maps.
- Familiarity with networking debug and performance tools (GDB, Valgrind, GCov).
- Experience with forwarding‑plane integration, preferably Broadcom SDK (Jericho+).
Good to Have
- Hands‑on Segment Routing (SR‑MPLS, OSPF‑SR, IS‑IS SR, TI‑LFA, BFD, QoS).
- MPLS protocol experience (LDP, RSVP, BGP‑LU) and VPN services.
- Exposure to Segment Routing in IPv6 data plane.
