We need a motivated backend developer to build scalable, reliable services that power our audio‑storytelling products. You’ll work closely with frontend, mobile and product teams to deliver APIs that reach millions of listeners across India.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs with Java or Python.
- Build scalable, maintainable server‑side components for web and mobile.
- Create and integrate RESTful APIs for frontend and mobile applications.
- Write efficient SQL/NoSQL queries and manage relational or NoSQL databases.
- Debug production issues and enhance performance and reliability.
- Write clean, modular, testable, well‑documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and cross‑functional engineering discussions.
What You Need
- 1–2 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP.
- Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and basic NoSQL concepts.
- Familiarity with Git version control and debugging tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (preferred).
Good to Have
- Java: Spring Boot or similar framework experience.
- Python: Django, Flask or FastAPI background.
- Exposure to caching, message queues, cloud platforms, microservices or containers.
