What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain scalable server‑side applications and services.
- Design, build, and document RESTful APIs.
- Implement business logic, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Create and optimise database schemas and queries for SQL and NoSQL stores.
- Write unit and integration tests; ensure code quality via reviews.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and improve API performance and reliability.
- Assist with deployment, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering or a related field.
- 0–2 years of backend development experience or relevant projects.
- Proficiency with Node.js and Express.js (or similar backend framework).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP methods.
- Experience with SQL databases; familiarity with Prisma or another ORM.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts.
- Comfortable using Git and GitHub for version control.
Good to Have
- Experience with Python or Java backend languages.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Basic Docker and cloud deployment knowledge.
- Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools.
