What You’ll Do
- Design scalable backend services on GCP, balancing reliability, cost, and maintainability.
- Own end‑to‑end system health, including performance tuning and incident resolution.
- Develop secure REST and gRPC APIs in Go, from code to production.
- Translate product and business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Modernise legacy codebases using Terraform‑driven infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Enforce clean code, automated testing, and thorough code reviews.
What You Need
- 7+ years building and owning large‑scale backend systems.
- Expertise in Go for backend service development.
- Hands‑on experience with REST/gRPC APIs at production scale.
- Strong background with PostgreSQL or Cloud SQL in high‑volume environments.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
- Demonstrated ownership of production services, including on‑call and reliability work.
Good to Have
- 3+ years with GCP services: GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage.
- Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience using Terraform on GCP.
- Familiarity with Datadog and OpenTelemetry for observability.
