We’re looking for a backend engineer to build and scale the core services of a B2B SaaS travel and expense platform that powers thousands of corporate journeys daily. You’ll work on a high‑growth product backed by $50 M of Series C funding from Tier 1 investors.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build the web version of the flagship travel management product.
- Gather requirements with cross‑functional teams and translate them into technical specs.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, standards, and readability.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and scalability issues.
- Optimize existing services for efficiency and high‑volume usage.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to align tech solutions with business goals.
What You Need
- 2+ years of Python and Java development experience.
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and multithreading.
- Hands‑on work with NoSQL (MongoDB) and distributed system concepts.
- Experience building REST APIs on AWS (CDK, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, ECS).
- Familiarity with message queues such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
- Startup background with solid oral and written communication skills.
