Title: Application Developer – Linux / Windows
Location: Offshore India
Duration: 10 Months
Description:
Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux/windows server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting application deployments, performing routine server maintenance, troubleshooting network and system issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of critical applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Perform application deployments on Linux servers across development, UAT, and production environments.
• Conduct file-level operations such as editing configuration files, managing logs, and handling file transfers.
• Execute disk space checks, monitor system performance, and perform cleanup activities.
• Use network troubleshooting commands (e.g., ping, netstat, traceroute, telnet, curl, etc.) to diagnose connectivity issues.
• Apply Linux commands for file and directory management (ls, cp, mv, rm, chmod, chown, find, grep, etc.).
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application and server-related issues.
• Maintain and update shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
• Monitor application logs and system alerts (CPU,Memory) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Preferred banking domain and capital markets. If experience is trading application with respect to maintenance and support then it will have added advantage to the role.
• Ability to work on Oracle Server
• Good knowledge in client browsers and configurations
• Good Knowledge in Windows servicesAbility to review, understand system documentation.
• Good verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation.
• Ability to interpret solution documentation and identify areas of concern and recommend approach.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
