What You’ll Do
- Design and develop scalable Node.js services using Express.js.
- Build and integrate secure RESTful APIs for frontend consumption.
- Write clean, reusable JavaScript code and conduct unit testing.
- Create and optimise PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB schemas and queries.
- Implement authentication, authorization and data‑validation mechanisms.
- Monitor performance, debug issues and improve application latency.
- Collaborate with frontend, UI/UX and QA teams through code reviews.
What You Need
- Strong JavaScript and Node.js proficiency.
- Experience with Express.js or a similar backend framework.
- Hands‑on work with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
- Familiarity with Git version control and GitHub workflows.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization and API security.
- Ability to handle asynchronous programming and error handling.
Good to Have
- B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Engineering, IT or CS.
- BCA/MCA or B.Sc. Computer Science acceptable.
- Practical project experience with backend development.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and deployment pipelines.
