Join a cutting‑edge AI platform building on‑premise solutions for regulated enterprises. As a backend engineer you’ll craft core services that power agent runtimes, RAG pipelines, and messaging infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement Java Spring Boot services with clean separation of concerns.
- Build agent runtime using Spring AI, handling tool‑calling and suspend/resume flows.
- Create event‑driven messaging with RabbitMQ and Spring AMQP, ensuring QoS.
- Integrate on‑premise inference backends like llama.cpp into the platform.
- Containerize and deploy services with Docker and Kubernetes to air‑gapped clusters.
What You Need
- 3–4 years of professional Java development, strong Spring Boot expertise.
- Deep knowledge of Spring Security, authentication, JWT/OAuth2.
- Experience with RabbitMQ or similar message brokers and event‑driven design.
- Proficiency in MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including schema design for high load.
- Hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes deployment experience.
- Strong testing discipline using JUnit 5, Mockito, AssertJ, Spring Boot Test, Testcontainers.
Good to Have
- Experience with Spring AI or building LLM‑backed applications.
- Familiarity with retrieval‑augmented generation, pgvector, and embedding pipelines.
- Exposure to agentic systems, tool‑calling, or multi‑agent orchestration.
- Running local models such as llama.cpp or vLLM in air‑gapped environments.
The Opportunity
You’ll enjoy real ownership of features in an early‑stage AI startup, shaping core architecture while shipping production‑ready code.
