We’re seeking a contract backend engineer to build and maintain high‑performance APIs for enterprise‑grade services. The role demands 3–7 years of Python expertise, especially with FastAPI, and a solid grasp of both NoSQL and relational data stores.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
- Optimize database queries, indexing, and overall performance.
- Implement caching mechanisms and rate‑limiting strategies.
- Integrate authentication and authorization across Azure AD, Okta, etc.
- Conduct code reviews, manage Git repositories, and write automated tests.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define API versioning standards.
What You Need
- 3–7 years of backend engineering experience.
- Advanced Python skills with hands‑on FastAPI projects.
- Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Experience with NoSQL databases; Amazon DocumentDB preferred.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design and query tuning.
- Proficiency in caching, versioning, rate limiting, and throttling.
- Familiarity with PyTest or similar testing frameworks.
Good to Have
- Experience leveraging GPT‑based or other language‑model tools for productivity.
