Join the team driving the Quest v2 platform modernization, a high‑volume event and workflow‑processing system handling millions of events daily. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, test, and support scalable Java backend services.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and RESTful APIs.
- Implement event‑driven solutions using Kafka and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Optimize database interactions with MySQL and write efficient SQL queries.
- Write clean, testable code and create unit and integration tests.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and monitor performance.
- Contribute reusable components, documentation, and support deployments.
What You Need
- 3–6 years of Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and REST API design.
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, multithreading, and concurrency.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL.
- Familiarity with JUnit, Mockito, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Linux.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Good to Have
- Experience with Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
- Knowledge of Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Background in modernizing legacy Java applications.
- Skills in application monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance tuning.
