We’re looking for someone to design and build data warehouses using Google BigQuery. You’ll be responsible for creating how data is structured, making sure it loads efficiently, and keeping it secure. This includes building pipelines to move data from different sources into BigQuery, and making sure the data is high quality. You’ll also help move existing data systems to the Google Cloud platform. A big part of the role is working with other engineers and analysts to understand their needs and deliver solutions that work well. You’ll also get to help establish best practices for how we work with data.
To be successful, you should have a good understanding of data warehousing concepts like ETL and dimensional modeling. Experience with GoogleSQL and Python is important, and knowing PySpark and Airflow would be a plus. Familiarity with technologies like Pub/Sub and Dataflow for handling streaming data is also helpful. Experience with other data warehouses like Oracle or Snowflake is good to have, but not essential.
We’d like to see a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
This position is based in India and is a hybrid role, meaning you’ll work both from home and come into the office as needed. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
