The Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into our data warehouse and knowledge graphs. You will implement and manage data solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Spanner, and Dataproc, as well as Azure Cloud Services. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining data models within Neo4j and/or Stardog, ensuring data quality and governance, and optimizing pipeline and query performance. Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams is essential, along with comprehensive documentation of data pipelines and schemas.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, and have at least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer. Strong hands-on experience with GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer), proficiency in Python, and expertise in SQL and data warehousing are required. Familiarity with data modeling, relational databases, Git, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and application support are also necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience with additional GCP services, streaming data technologies like Kafka or Google Cloud Dataflow streaming, data governance tools, and Google Cloud Platform data engineering certifications.
