Zoom is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our People Analytics team within the IT department in India. This role focuses on building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports the People Experience organization, transforming raw data into reliable datasets used for strategic workforce decisions. You will be responsible for designing scalable ETL pipelines, developing optimized data models, and ensuring data quality across various HR systems.
The Information Technology team at Zoom is focused on enhancing business efficiency and user experiences through innovation, data insights, and automation. We collaborate with HR to deliver scalable solutions and actionable insights from people data.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of data engineering experience. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, as is 2+ years of hands-on experience with both Airflow for workflow orchestration and dbt for data transformation. Expertise in AWS data services and cloud infrastructure is also required. Experience with Workday or similar HR systems and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI are considered advantages.
