About the Role
We are hiring a seasoned Database Developer to join our engineering team supporting the development of a real-time Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform. You will be responsible for designing robust, high-performance data models and writing optimized SQL queries that power mission-critical industrial operations.
This is a full-time onsite role based in Mohali, offering the opportunity to work closely with a global engineering team delivering enterprise-grade software.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and manage normalized database schemas for MES and real-time workflows
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all environments
• Implement database backup, replication, and role-based access control
• Collaborate with backend developers and DevOps teams for seamless integration
Required Skills
• Strong experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Expertise in query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design
• Deep understanding of database normalization and relational modeling
• Experience with backup strategies, replication, and security best practices
Domain Experience (Desired)
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Real-Time Systems
• Database security and compliance standards
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
