As an Engineering Change Engineer at UST, your role involves prioritizing the review of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and expediting the release of ECOs in the implementation cycle. You will review ECOs for content completeness, structure of Bill of Material, customer impact, organizational impact, and functional product impact. Additionally, you will determine the effect of ECOs on products and processes, route ECOs, and coordinate with other impacted EC analysts. It is crucial to communicate issues with EC Analysts or EC engineers for the correctness of the ECO. You will also analyze part structures, conduct where-used searches, and train/coach ECO participants in their functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prioritize review of ECOs and expedite release in the implementation cycle
– Review ECOs for content completeness, BOM structure, and impact analysis
– Coordinate with other EC analysts and ensure proper inclusion of CIB members
– Communicate and verify issues with EC Analysts or EC engineers
– Analyze part structures, conduct where-used searches, and train ECO participants
– Evaluate ECO process for continuous improvement and assist in KPI development
Qualifications Required:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automobile
– 5 to 8 years of experience
– Knowledge of ECO processes, PDM, BOMs, item master theory, and manufacturing methods
– Skills in writing and tracking ECOs, material planning, manufacturing processes, GD&T, UG NX, design tools, and PLM software packages like Oracle and SAP
– Project management skills, cross-functional teamwork, time management, negotiation, and presentation skills
