This freelance role lets you contribute to advanced AI projects as a Java developer, focusing on code generation, model evaluation, and performance benchmarking. You will collaborate with experts worldwide to shape the next generation of generative AI.
What You’ll Do
- Write and review Java code for AI training pipelines.
- Evaluate prompts and annotate data for model improvement.
- Train and benchmark large language models in sandboxed environments.
- Implement microservices with Spring Boot and messaging systems.
- Collaborate with solution engineers on experimental AI projects.
- Optimize JVM performance and manage garbage collection.
- Apply AI‑assisted refactoring and test generation tools.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or related field.
- 3+ years Java 17+ development, including streams and concurrency.
- Advanced English (C1) proficiency.
- Expertise in JUnit 5, TestNG, Mockito, and TestContainers.
- Experience with Maven/Gradle, IntelliJ IDEA, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient in Spring ecosystem, JPA/Hibernate, and microservices.
- Knowledge of JVM internals, GC, performance tuning, and design patterns.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ messaging.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and containers.
- Usage of AI‑assisted refactoring tools.
- Knowledge of JVM profiling (JProfiler, VisualVM).
The Opportunity
