Co-Founder / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – E-Commerce Startup
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and committed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the end-to-end technology vision and execution of our e-commerce platform. This is a long-term opportunity for someone passionate about building scalable products from the ground up and playing a key role in shaping the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complete technology development, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure
Design and architect a scalable e-commerce/marketplace platform
Oversee API development, database architecture, and payment gateway integrations
Manage deployment processes, system security, and production environments
Build, mentor, and scale the technology team as the company grows
Ensure high performance and scalability comparable to leading platforms
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience in building and scaling e-commerce or marketplace platforms
Strong expertise in full-stack development and system architecture
Experience managing high-traffic production systems
Startup mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Compensation & Commitment
This is an equity-based opportunity; no fixed salary will be provided initially
Compensation will begin once the company achieves stable revenue
Equity or profit-sharing will be discussed with the selected candidate
This role requires a long-term commitment
