Full Stack Engineer (Angular + Java/J2EE)

Experience: 4–8 years (2–3 years in Frontend + 2–5 years in Java/J2EE development)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with expertise in Angular, Java/J2EE, and modern web technologies to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with an analytical mindset to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions in an agile environment.
You will work closely with analysts, architects, testers, and backend developers to design, implement, and optimize intuitive, scalable web applications while ensuring brand consistency, performance, and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Implement structure and design of web pages based on provided guidelines.
• Ensure user experience (UX) drives design choices.
• Develop features that enhance usability and accessibility.
• Balance functionality and aesthetics in UI design.
• Apply mobile-first design principles and ensure optimization for smartphones.
• Build reusable, scalable code for future use.
• Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
• Utilize various markup languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) to build web applications.
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all UI designs.
• Collaborate with technical analysts to define high-level solutions and provide realistic estimations.
• Work with the scrum master to ensure backlog accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure acceptance criteria are executed and passed by the end of each sprint.
• Provide instant feedback during sprint activities and assist with IT testing.
• Support e-Operations to resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
Profile & Competencies
• Proven experience in Frontend development and Java (J2EE) web development.
• Strong knowledge of Angular framework (mandatory).
• Experience with headless CMS (Magnolia / Contentful – mandatory).
• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTTP(s), storage, cookies, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with critical thinking.
• Promote simple, pragmatic, and functional solutions.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in structured/agile environments.
• Experience collaborating with external vendors/partners.
• Strong communication skills (spoken & written) for diverse audiences.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• English fluency is mandatory; Dutch/French is a plus.
Technical Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, jQuery.
• Experience with frontend automated testing/profiling.
• Hands-on experience with frontend build tools (Gulp / Grunt / Webpack).
• Exposure to microservices architecture (NodeJS, Spring Boot) is a plus.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficient in Git or other version control tools.
• Understanding of SEO principles.
• Solid experience with UML and design patterns.
• Hands-on with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira / TargetProcess).
• Experience with React/React Native is an added advantage.
