Job Title: Junior Node.js Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Node.js Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while following best development practices and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Develop scalable backend services and server-side logic.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Ensure secure data handling and follow established communication and storage protocols (including Office 365 usage where applicable).
• Maintain version control using Git.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Node.js with Express.js framework.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience in REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Basic understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT/OAuth).
• Knowledge of npm packages and environment configuration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Basic understanding of Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
• Knowledge of Redis caching.
• Exposure to GraphQL.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
