MANAGER, DATA ENGINEERING, SMAI – Telangana Lead a high‑impact data engineering team that powers Micron’s Smart Manufacturing and AI initiatives. You’ll shape cloud‑based data platforms, drive AI‑enabled analytics, and partner with manufacturing planners to turn raw data into competitive advantage. What You’ll Do Lead and mentor a team of 5‑10 data engineers, handling performance and career growth. Design, review, and deploy big‑data and cloud‑warehouse solutions on Snowflake and GCP. Translate manufacturing planning requirements into technical specifications for the engineering team. Drive projects from requirement gathering through delivery while minimizing technical debt. Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation using Splunk and Python‑based tools. Foster an AI‑first culture that streamlines work and accelerates business value. Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives such as hiring, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement. What You Need 10+ years delivering big‑data or advanced‑analytics solutions. 6+ years managing data‑engineering teams. 4‑5 years hands‑on experience building cloud data platforms in GCP (or other clouds). Proficiency in Python (intermediate‑advanced) and ELT/ETL tools, preferably NiFi. Deep knowledge of Snowflake, SQL Server, and data modeling for manufacturing planning. Strong grasp of data structures, integration pipelines, and production support workflows. Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior‑level audiences. Good to Have Experience with Apache Spark. Familiarity with Generative AI/productivity tools and agentic solutions. Ability to create dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
