Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical engineering and drafting team for cement plant operations and projects. The candidate should bring 8–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, equipment installation, maintenance planning, and project execution in cement or similar heavy process industries.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and drafters involved in the design, detailing, and execution of mechanical works in cement plant projects.
• Oversee mechanical design and engineering of rotary equipment (kilns, mills, crushers), material handling systems, ducting, fans, blowers, and utility systems.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, client specifications, and project timelines.
• Review and approve mechanical drawings, GA layouts, fabrication drawings, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with project management, civil/electrical teams, procurement, and site execution teams for seamless project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance during equipment erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support in plant modification, debottlenecking, expansion, and capacity enhancement projects.
• Implement engineering best practices to improve plant reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Conduct regular team reviews, mentoring, and skill development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 8–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles within the cement or heavy process plant industry.
• Strong knowledge of cement plant equipment like kilns, ball mills, VRMs, conveyors, bag filters, and other mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software for mechanical design and drafting.
• Familiarity with applicable standards such as IS, ASME, DIN, and API.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and fabrication drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Capable of handling multiple projects and guiding cross-functional coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield cement plant projects.
• Working knowledge of maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP PM, CMMS).
• Exposure to energy efficiency, reliability improvement, and cost optimization initiatives in cement plants.
