Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Site Engineer to lead on-site construction activities for complex infrastructure projects. In this role, you will oversee the installation, coordination, and quality assurance of MEP systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications. Your expertise will drive seamless collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to project schedules and standards. Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the installation of MEP systems on-site, ensuring compliance with technical drawings, schematics, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed project schedules using tools like Project management software and Project scheduling techniques.
• Review construction plans using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD tools to verify accuracy and resolve design conflicts.
• Conduct construction inspections to monitor quality control, safety practices, and progress against project timelines.
• Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems), ArcGIS, and Land surveying data to support site layout and system design accuracy.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation through technical writing skills for project records, progress updates, and compliance reports.
• Assist in construction estimating by analyzing project scope and resource requirements using specialized software such as Mathcad or HEC models for hydraulic calculations.
• Support system design efforts for water treatment, wastewater management, hydraulics, geotechnical engineering aspects, and other civil engineering components.
• Coordinate with geotechnical engineers and water treatment specialists to ensure proper integration of systems such as SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) or HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center) tools.
Experience
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role within large-scale construction projects involving MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of construction management practices including scheduling, quality assurance, safety protocols, and site supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation for drafting and system schematics development.
• Familiarity with GIS applications like ArcGIS for site analysis and planning purposes.
• Hands-on experience with construction estimating software and hydraulic modeling tools such as Mathcad or HEC programs.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles related to water treatment plants, wastewater systems, hydraulics, land surveying techniques, and system design processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics for mechanical and electrical systems as well as piping layouts for pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills for technical writing of reports and coordination with multidisciplinary teams involved in construction inspection and system implementation.
