Mid Backend Developer

As a Slot Game Backend Developer (Mid-I), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and services specifically tailored for slot games. Your primary focus will be on creating robust and scalable backend architectures that support game logic, player interactions, and real-time data streaming. Additionally, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of a Remote Gaming Server (RGS) to handle game mechanics, operator integrations, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

– Developing and maintaining backend services for slot games using Node.js to ensure seamless execution of game mechanics, bonus rounds, and jackpot functionalities.
– Collaborating on the development and upkeep of a Remote Gaming Server to manage game logic, player session management, and operator integrations.
– Utilizing Apache Kafka to build real-time data pipelines for game events, player session tracking, leaderboards, and bonus triggers.
– Analyzing and addressing performance bottlenecks and latency issues to optimize the gaming experience, even during high traffic periods.
– Implementing backend logic for slot mechanics in close collaboration with game designers, including win/loss logic, RTP calculations, and feature triggers.
– Conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and mentoring junior developers to ensure high-quality backend solutions.
– Ensuring robust testing of backend systems for slot games, managing CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment and updates, and providing troubleshooting and live support to minimize downtime in production environments.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

– Minimum 4+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 1+ years working on Slot Game Backend Systems and 3 years on Remote Gaming Server.
– Proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks, expertise in Apache Kafka, and a solid understanding of RESTful API design.
– Proven track record of designing and implementing backend systems for slot games, experience with relational databases, version control using Git, and familiarity with cloud platforms.
– Preferred qualifications include experience with containerization tools, knowledge of Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices, along with strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

This is a Full-time position in the Gambling Facilities and Casinos industry, focusing on Information Technology and Back-End Web Development. The job involves working in-person during day shifts from Monday to Friday.
