About The Job :

Key Responsibilities :

– Modify network configurations and architecture to align with certification requirements.

– Guide the team on maintaining efficient network operations while adhering to certification standards.

– Perform network administration and engineering tasks on routers, switches, and other hardware network products.

– Support daily network operations, implementing necessary changes to maintain optimal network performance.

– Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet Firewalls, Forti Switches, and Forti Wireless Access Points (WAP).

– Manage and troubleshoot routing, firewall, and switching systems with a strong focus on network security.

– Diagnose and resolve firewall-related issues, with expertise in routing protocols, particularly OSPF.

– Stay updated with industry knowledge on networking, telecommunications, VoIP, LAN/WAN, and TCP/IP administration.

– Address network performance issues such as connectivity, bandwidth, and latency.

– Plan and execute device backups, updates, upgrades, patches, and vulnerability remediation to ensure a secure and efficient network.

– Manage severe or crisis incidents, coordinating with vendors and OEMs to ensure a smooth resolution.

– Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, troubleshooting processes, and best practices.

– Participate in on-call rotations to handle critical network incidents and minimize downtime.

– Set up networks from initial configuration (day 0) to operational status (day 1), making necessary adjustments.

– Conduct network testing using L3 protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.

– Implement and manage Radius, AAA, and TACACS+ protocols.

– Ensure secure network operations through IPSec configurations.

– 5+ years of experience in managing large scale Network.

– Use and contribute to procedures and tools to develop and safely execute network changes.

– Develop solutions for support team members to act on network failure conditions.

– Collaborate with network vendor technical account team and quality assurance team to drive bug resolution and assist with qualification of new firmware and/or operating systems.

– Manage and Perform Firmware upgrades and configuration refreshes.

– Strong knowledge of protocols and services such as MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, VxLAN and EVPN.

– Extensive experience with scripting or automation and data center design Python preferred but must demonstrate expertise in scripting or compiled language.

– Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL.

– Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions.

– Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment

– Experience working in a network operations role.
