Principal Software Engineer V – Bengaluru
Drive the API-first strategy to elevate digital experiences for customers in enrollment and claims. You will lead end-to-end architecture for scalable, secure enterprise applications that bridge insurance ecosystems with HCM systems. Make a tangible impact by defining architectural standards and leading technical decisions for a high-performance team.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end solution architecture across cloud infrastructure and data flows.
Define architectural patterns and design guardrails for engineering consistency.
Lead design reviews and evaluate technical trade-offs.
Design enterprise-grade REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform.
Drive engineering best practices for CI/CD, deployment, and reliability.
Mentor engineers and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
14+ years of related software engineering experience.
Deep hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot development.
Strong experience with Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, and Flink.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Azure, AKS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Background implementing API gateways like Kong or Kong Konnect.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL database integration.
Good to Have
Prior experience working within a GCC environment.
Experience collaborating with distributed teams across time zones.
