Role Description: We are currently looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE-2/SDE-3) + Instructor – Web Development to join our Computer Science Department. This role is ideal for professionals with substantial industry experience who are passionate about Web Development and committed to shaping the next generation of tech talent. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with academic responsibilities, including designing and delivering course content, conducting practical lab sessions, and mentoring students in core Computer Science and Frontend Development topics. The ideal candidate will also collaborate with academic leaders and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and drive learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

● Course Development & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Topics like JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, etc.

● Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience.

● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum.

● Academic Excellence & Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth.

● Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation.

● Research & Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations.

Qualifications & Experience:

● 4-10 years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Frontend Development.

● Proficiency in JS, CSS, React.js, Angular (must be comfortable picking up new languages quickly).

● Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts, including experience with User interface, performance optimization, and modern frameworks.

● Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to students.

● Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics.

Good-to-Have:

● Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.

● Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools.

● Experience in software development and system design.
