What You’ll Do
- Gather and refine API requirements with customers, partners, and product owners.
- Design contract‑first APIs using OpenAPI, defining resources, schemas, errors, pagination, idempotency.
- Implement production‑grade REST APIs with versioning, deprecation, and backward‑compatibility strategies.
- Define authentication, authorization, scopes, and roles to secure customer‑ and partner‑facing endpoints.
- Create clear developer documentation, examples, and reference integrations; support integrators during onboarding.
- Set up automated contract, integration, security, and performance testing; feed feedback into redesign.
What You Need
- 8+ years backend engineering with production API design and delivery.
- Proven expertise creating OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and treating specs as first‑class deliverables.
- Strong grasp of OAuth 2.0/OIDC, scopes, roles, and API security best practices.
- Proficient with relational databases and writing clean, well‑tested code (unit/integration).
- Experience collaborating directly with customers, partners, or third‑party integrators.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to produce clear developer‑facing documentation.
Good to Have
- Telecom/VoIP domain knowledge.
- PHP 8.x/Laravel and OOP experience.
- Familiarity with contract testing tools (Spectral, OpenAPI diffing).
- Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
