DNEG is seeking a Software Developer & 2D Generalist to join our BRAHMA AI 2D Technology team in India. This role focuses on building and maintaining essential tools for visual effects workflows including compositing, rotoscoping, matte painting, and motion graphics. You will integrate and expand upon industry-standard software like Nuke within our unique production pipelines, and develop automation solutions to boost artist productivity. Responsibilities include designing intuitive interfaces for asset management, contributing to advanced image processing tools – potentially utilizing deep image data – and collaborating with artists, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the entire software development process, from initial design to deployment and ongoing support. We operate within agile teams dedicated to continuous improvement of our tools and workflows.
Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proficiency in Python and/or C++ with a focus on production-level code is required, as is experience with software development in a Linux environment. A foundational understanding of Nuke is also necessary.
