Software Developer[Back End — Software Developer – Back End (Node.js + Express) – India Join a distributed agile squad that owns a core internal platform for RWS’s division. You’ll shape its evolution, add new features, and keep the service robust as the business scales. What You’ll Do Design and build scalable backend services with Node.js and Express. Create and maintain secure, high‑performance RESTful APIs. Model data and optimise queries in SQL and NoSQL stores. Implement async processing, caching, and background job handling. Write unit/integration tests and take part in peer code reviews. Collaborate with front‑end engineers and product owners to deliver end‑to‑end solutions. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Docker‑based containerisation. What You Need Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Hands‑on experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases. Knowledge of authentication/authorization mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth2. Familiarity with Redis, message queues and performance tuning techniques. Competence with Git, CI/CD tools, and testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha. Exposure to micro‑services architecture and API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI). Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP). Good to Have Practical experience with Docker containers (and optionally Kubernetes). Prior work on large‑scale, globally‑used enterprise applications.
