About The Role
Software Mathematics is seeking a self-driven Backend Developer to independently lead the development of integrations with third-party systems and APIs. In this solo development role, you will own the entire lifecycle of backend integration projects that power our AI-driven data automation platform. Your work will directly enable smarter workflows and seamless connectivity with popular enterprise Responsibilities :
• Design and develop scalable, secure backend services for third-party integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Shopify, Oracle, etc.).
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Translate product and AI team requirements into functional, production-ready code.
• Handle authentication, data transformation, and API communication with precision.
• Ensure code is modular, tested, and easily maintainable for long-term Requirements :
• 6+ years of backend development experience (solo project experience is a plus).
• Proficient in Python and modern frameworks like FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, etc.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication protocols (OAuth2, API tokens).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to reverse-engineer third-party systems.
• Experience working with external APIs, cloud services, and database integrations.
• Comfortable working independently with high ownership and minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with enterprise systems like Salesforce, Shopify, Oracle, etc.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Exposure to AI workflows or data automation tools.
