Sr. Data Engineer – Pune, Maharashtra | Contractual (3–6 Months)
We need a senior data engineer to build and maintain high‑performance pipelines for our analytics platform. This short‑term contract offers an immediate start, hybrid work in Pune, and the chance to shape data flows across cloud environments.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and optimise end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines.
Develop scalable Spark/PySpark data‑processing jobs.
Extract, transform and load data from diverse sources into warehouses and lakes.
Collaborate with product and analytics teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
Ensure data quality, integrity and performance monitoring.
Implement cloud‑based data architectures on AWS, Azure or GCP.
Troubleshoot production data issues and tune performance.
What You Need
7+ years of data‑engineering experience.
Strong hands‑on Python and SQL coding skills.
Proven expertise with Spark/PySpark and Databricks.
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
Deep understanding of data‑warehouse and data‑lake concepts.
Ability to process large structured and unstructured datasets efficiently.
Good to Have
Familiarity with CI/CD tools for data pipelines.
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
