Role Overview – Senior Software Engineer (Windows App)
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own core components across the Windows desktop app, C++ SDK, and Flutter-based frontend, collaborating across teams to build scalable, high-performance solutions. You’ll help drive system design, product delivery, and mentoring as part of a fast-growing product organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and implement C++ SDK modules and Flutter-based desktop interfaces
• Integrate frontend and SDK with backend systems using RESTful APIs
• Optimize performance and resource usage for Windows environments
• Contribute to installer logic, UAC handling, and Windows-native packaging
• Debug complex issues across the stack (frontend, backend, OS level)
• Write robust unit/integration tests and ensure CI/CD readiness
• Collaborate in sprint planning, reviews, and team design sessions
• Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices for modular, testable code
• Document systems and processes for knowledge continuity
Required Skills & Experience
• 5-8 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in C++, including Windows SDK or similar SDK development
• Production experience with Flutter for desktop UI
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and working with PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, or other data systems
• Familiarity with Windows dev tools like Visual Studio, MSBuild
• Hands-on experience with Windows Installer technologies (MSI, Inno Setup)
• Understanding of User Account Control (UAC) and Windows privilege models
• Git-based workflows and agile collaboration Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with Win32/COM APIs or Windows-native integration points
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization
• Contributions to open-source projects (C++ or Flutter preferred)
• Prior work in voice/speech applications or real-time systems
• Knowledge of CI/CD for desktop builds and deployments
