Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of expertise in building and managing cloud-based infrastructures, with deep knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable cloud solutions that leverage microservices architecture, containerization, and modern CI/CD practices. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud-native solutions that are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using industry-standard tools and frameworks, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Lead the architecture and deployment of microservices-based applications using Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
• Develop and implement automated workflows for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform and Pulumi.
• Leverage cloud platforms (Openstack, Linux-based environments) to provide IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions to internal teams and customers.
• Optimize infrastructure and cloud services to improve performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Implement secure communication protocols (MTLS, TLS) and manage X509 certificates for systems and security storages (Vault/HSM)
• Drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to ensure smooth and rapid deployment cycles.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to automate processes and improve infrastructure reliability.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in cloud and containerization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and GoLang for cloud automation, scripting, and application development.
• DevOps Practices: Extensive experience in CI/CD pipeline setup, management, and optimization.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: In-depth experience with Openstack and Linux systems, virtualized computing resources (IaaS).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience in Kubernetes and Docker, with a solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native application patterns.
• * Networking Expertise: Design and manage cloud networks using protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS.
• Cloud Networking: Implement and manage Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).
• Automation Tools: Expertise in infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Pulumi to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
• Database Management: Proficient in managing and scaling NoSQL and relational databases, specifically MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Security Best Practices: Strong knowledge of security protocols, including MTLS/TLS, Key management, HSM and experience in managing cloud security and certification management.
• Cloud Platforms: Proven track record of working with cloud platforms, particularly Openstack, with additional knowledge of AWS and GCP being a plus.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with GCP and AWS cloud platforms, particularly in managing cloud infrastructure, services, and storage solutions.
• Strong understanding of Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) architectures and their deployment in cloud environments.
• Ability to manage and scale containerized applications in Kubernetes and leverage modern cloud-native tools for orchestration and monitoring.
