Job Description
In this role, you will Design & Develop, applications for Patient Monitoring business. You would address business needs to enable data analytics on the patient monitoring data.
- Participation in the development of platform components as a part of Monitoring and Analytics R&D team.
- Design and develop the BSP and open-source packages as a generic and re-usable meta layers to build a custom embedded Linux distro for multiple hardware.
- Hands-on development in bitbake, bash, python in embedded systems domain with real time constraints.
- Assimilate system requirements.
- Own the design (high level and detailed) of the system.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Ensure quality by writing developer level tests (unit, component, etc.)
- Debugging or troubleshooting the defects on embedded targets.
- To take-up any technical challenge and resolve it through right solution.
- Works with engineers and other team members for the quality and timely deliveries.
- Creates products according to the specifications and software development process
- Create engineering documentations to comply with product development policies, practices and procedures
- Interacts effectively with other functions (verification, Quality, regulatory, project management) for the success of the project
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- 3+ years’ experience in firmware development with hands-on in C, C++, Python, bitbake and right open-source components in building Embedded Linux based devices
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Open embedded and Yocto build systems
- Experience with Linux Kernel Modules and bootloaders is a strong plus
- Experience working with open source community to fix bugs, add features is a plus
- Proficiency in Git is a strong plus
- Familiarity with embedded security features such as verified boot and trusted execution environments is a plus
- Experience in medical domain is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
