Job Description
Opcito is seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in Golang and modern AI-driven application development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in building scalable APIs, integrating LLM/GenAI capabilities, and working on distributed backend systems. Experience with Node.js is a plus.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Golang
• Strong proficiency in AI coding tools
• Experience in API development and backend architecture
• Hands-on exposure to LLM/GenAI technologies and integrations
• Knowledge of MCP concepts/frameworks
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work on LLM/GenAI integrations for AI-powered applications and workflows
• Implement and optimize MCP-based architectures/workflows
• Collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend performance
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and deployment activities
