Join a team shaping the next generation of automotive infotainment experiences. You’ll develop and fine‑tune multimedia middleware that powers audio, video, and connectivity features in vehicles.
What You’ll Do
- Design and integrate media framework components for Android/Linux automotive platforms.
- Implement and optimize audio HAL, USB, iPod, and Bluetooth stacks.
- Develop codec integration and playback pipelines ensuring low‑latency performance.
- Debug playback failures, track switching issues, and connectivity drops.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis using logcat, dmesg, and kernel logs.
- Write unit tests with GTest and JUnit for media modules.
- Collaborate via JIRA, Git/Gerrit, and IBM Rhapsody for code reviews.
What You Need
- Strong expertise in Android or Linux multimedia frameworks (Stagefright, GStreamer).
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Java/Kotlin; advanced C++ preferred.
- Hands‑on debugging on embedded systems and build environments.
- Experience with USB (MSC/MTP) and Bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP media flows.
- Familiarity with AOSP, Git/Gerrit, and CI build systems.
- Knowledge of audio HAL and codec integration.
- Ability to use log analysis tools and version control (SVN/Gitlab).
Good to Have
- Automotive infotainment domain experience.
- Exposure to DSP or amplifier integration.
- Understanding of CAN/LIN diagnostics for audio/media.
