Backend Developer – Join the Mergekart Team!
Mergekart helps brands easily sell products on many online marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, and Shopify – we give them one place to manage everything. We’re growing quickly and need talented people to join us!
As a Backend Developer here, you’ll be building and improving the systems that power our platform. You’ll be designing and developing REST APIs using Node.js and Express, which are the core of how our different parts connect. You’ll also be working with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB to store and retrieve information efficiently.
You’ll be involved in making things faster by using caching with Redis, and handling tasks in the background with queues. Keeping our systems secure and able to handle lots of users will be a key part of your work. You’ll collaborate with other developers and product people to build great features. Plus, you’ll help with things like deploying code and monitoring how everything is running – basically, keeping the lights on! Writing clear and easy-to-understand code is important to us.
We’re looking for someone with at least a year of experience building backend systems. You should be comfortable with Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Knowing about Redis and message queues is a plus. Some understanding of DevOps practices like CI/CD and using tools like Docker would be really helpful. Familiarity with Git is essential.
